Shim low spots to level the roof, as needed.
Apply new steel to 2x4s using 2-inch screws.
Finish with trim work.

Apply 1x4x16s directly over siding, anchored into the wall joist with 4-inch screws.
Shim low spots to level the siding, as needed.
Apply new steel to 1x4s using 2-inch screws.
Finish with trim work.
